ArtDayME: Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, visited the exhibition "Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim: Two Clouds in the Night Sky" at Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, where he explored a series of works by the artist that document his rich artistic journey and reflect the beauty of his hometown, Khorfakkan.
Ibrahim presents a comprehensive selection of paintings, works on paper, assemblages, and papier-mâché sculptures that explore themes of nature, memory, and imagination.
The exhibition takes its title from Ibrahim’s recent cloud-inspired works, revealing his poetic sensibility that connects environment and abstraction. Organized into four thematic sections — In Transit, Traces Made Visible, Shapeshifters, and Where the Land Turns to Play — the show features notable series such as Sitting Man (2010–2015), Sitting Woman Only One (2010), and his early land art pieces including Draped Trees (1996) and Khorfakkan Circles (2004).
The exhibition is curated by Noor Al Muheirbi and Madiya Al Tamimi, and will run until 22 February 2026.
