ArtDayMe: As Eghtesad Novin Bank marks the 25th anniversary of its establishment, a selection of works from the Novin Gallery Collection is being presented to the public for the first time at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMoCA), Iran’s most prominent institution dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
According to the Public Relations Department of Eghtesad Novin Bank, the grand foyer of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting the exhibition, titled “The Novin Collection,” from Wednesday, August 19, 2026, through Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The exhibition features 25 works from the Novin Gallery Collection on physical display, while the entire collection is also being presented through a photo-and-video presentation.
The second edition of the Eghtesad Novin Bank Gallery Collection book has also been published on this occasion and is now available to artists.
Eghtesad Novin Bank, Iran’s first private bank, has sought from the outset to play an effective role in honoring and preserving the country’s cultural and artistic assets through a forward-looking approach.
The establishment of the Novin Gallery in 2006 reflects the importance Eghtesad Novin Bank has placed on supporting Iranian art and paying tribute to its artists—an initiative that positioned the institution among the pioneers in establishing dedicated art institutions within Iran’s banking sector.
Over the past two decades, Novin Gallery has built an exceptional collection through the acquisition and preservation of significant works of Iranian visual art. Today, the collection comprises more than 100 artworks, with its breadth and richness continuing to grow through an ongoing acquisition program.
The collection includes outstanding works by more than 70 leading Iranian artists, including Seyed Mohammad Ehsai, Aydin Aghdashloo, Parviz Kalantari, Sadegh Tabrizi, Farideh Lashai, Mohammad Ali Taraghijah, Mahmoud Javadipour, Ahmad Esfandiari, Jalal Shabahanghi, Mohammad Ebrahim Jafari, Nasser Taghvai, Kaveh Golestan, Mehdi Sahabi, Hannibal Alkhas, Farideh Lashai, Gizella Varga Sinay, Bahram Dabiri, Nosratollah Moslemian, Yaghoub Emammapeich, Ali Nasir, Shahriar Ahmadi, and many other influential figures in contemporary Iranian art.
Here are moments from the gathering of prominent artists, Tehran gallerists and leading figures in Iran’s art economy who came together at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art at the invitation of Eghtesad Novin Bank’s Public Relations Department.
The photographs feature prominent figures including Bahman Farmanara, Lili Golestan, Morteza Kazemi, Yadollah Kaboli, Einuddin Sadeghzadeh, Ebrahim Haghighi, Bahram Dabiri, Golnaz Fathi, Zahra Haghshar, Ali Dolatshahi, Ali Dorostkar, as well as representatives of MAAD, Mojdeh, Taraneh Baran, Shokouh, Maher and Iris galleries, alongside representatives of Pasargad Bank and other prominent figures from Iran’s economic and art communities.
The distinctive commemorative gifts presented by Eghtesad Novin Bank—featuring works from its collection in commemorative form—have also received considerable attention and a warm response from the artists and guests attending the event.
