“Abdullah Al Saadi: Sites of Memory, Sites of Amnesia”, curated by Tarek Abou El Fetouh is now open at Venice Biennale.

ArtDayME: “Abdullah Al Saadi: Sites of Memory, Sites of Amnesia”, curated by Tarek Abou El Fetouh, was inaugurated by Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture of UAE in the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the UAE.

National Pavilion UAE announced: We would like to thank our commissioner at the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation for their unwavering support, the Ministry of Culture, featured artist Abdullah Al Saadi, curator Tarek Abou EL Fetouh, Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, as well as our extended community of supporters, contributors and partners.

The exhibition transforms the pavilion into a reenactment of Abdullah Al Saadi’s studio, creating an immersive experience that unfolds like a captivating narrative with numerous chapters. Through this exhibition, viewers can explore over four decades of Al Saadi’s creative journey.

The exhibition is on view at the Arsenale–Sale d’Ari - La Biennale di Venezia until 24 November 2024.
