ArtDayME: Etel Adnan was a contemporary American-Lebanese painter and writer known for her vibrantly colored, abstracted renditions of mountains, ocean, and sky.
Known for her colourful abstract tapestries, leporellos and paintings, as well as her poetry, novels and plays, Etel Adnan made work that traverses culture and disciplines.
Adnan passed away in Paris on November 14, 2021 at the age of 96.
