Photos: I’m Never Coming Back, a solo exhibition by Aidha Badr at Firetti Contemporary
ArtDayME: Firetti Contemporary, in collaboration with Hunna Art Gallery, presents I’m Never Coming Back, a solo exhibition by Brooklyn-born, Dubai-based artist Aidha Badr (b.1996).
Curated by Celine Azem and Oceane Sailly, the exhibition reflects on the quiet transformation of motherhood and the ways it reshapes identity.
Badr paints from the space between daughter and mother, where memory and self overlap. The works unfold like diary entries—intimate, fragile, and exposed. Introducing new motifs such as the horse, a symbol of grace and acceptance, and punctuated with handwritten fragments, these paintings capture the disorientation of change and the freedom found in stillness.
I’m Never Coming Back is a meditation on loss, renewal, and the layered voices of womanhood, where the daughter and the mother exist together—in conflict, in harmony, and in becoming.
The exhibition continues until 7 November 2025.
