ArtDayMe: The Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel in Tehran—whose images of architectural splendor have recently mesmerized viewers throughout Iran and the Middle East—has taken an inspiring initiative by dedicating a permanent space to an art gallery. Now, one year after its establishment, the hotel inaugurates the Rashidi Gallery.
Designed across two floors by the hotel’s late founder, Mr. Mohammad Rashidi Torghi, the gallery opens its first exhibition featuring works by 24 artists.
The show presents outstanding pieces by some of Iran’s most celebrated masters alongside emerging and mid-career artists.
Organized in collaboration with Babak Haghi, the exhibition displays works by Mohammad Ehsai, Parvaneh Etemadi, Ghasem Hajizadeh, Bahram Dabiri, Iran Darroudi, Reza Mafi, Behjat Sadr, Hosseinali Zabehi, Manouchehr Niazi, and Bahman Mohasses in Hall One; and works by Shahriar Ahmadi, Banfsheh Ahmadzadeh, Razieh Iranpour, Fereydoun Amidi, Tania Pakzad, Amin Tavakkol, Babak Haghi, Mehrdad Khataei, Atena Rashidi, Nastaran Safaie, Satin Ghaffari, Elham Fatemi, Kiarash Mosayebi, and Alireza Memariani in Hall Two.
The Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel stands as one of the most luminous examples of the revival of Iranian architecture in the heart of Tehran.
Its grand design evokes the splendor of Qajar palaces and the finesse of Safavid miniature art. From the exterior façade to the interior halls and each of its 46 rooms, the intricate blend of mosaic tilework, traditional stucco carvings, and stained glass windows revives the living history of Iran in a contemporary form.
The hotel’s night lighting—accentuating its arches and decorative columns—infuses the space with poetic charm, making it one of the most visually captivating luxury residences in the capital. Inside, every detail has been crafted with devotion to Iran’s cultural heritage and fine arts.
Within this refined atmosphere, the Rashidi Gallery offers a unique aesthetic experience: painted ceilings adorned with arabesque motifs, crystal chandeliers, and wooden furniture inspired by traditional designs. Spanning approximately 11,000 square meters, the space seamlessly merges modern comfort and advanced facilities with classical grandeur and traditional beauty, creating a serene and distinctly Iranian sense of place.
The Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel is not merely a place to stay—it is a living museum of Iranian art, where the past and present coexist in harmony.
The Rashidi Gallery, located at No. 35, Hamila (Fallahzadeh) Boulevard, Punak, will be open to artists and art enthusiasts from October 26 to November 6, daily (except Saturdays) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
