End the War! by Hossein Hashempoor
These days, Tehran is not well. Nor is Iran. Nor, undoubtedly, is the Middle East. We are breathing in war and death more than oxygen. At the very least—for the sake of the children—stop the wars.
ArtDayMe: Hossein Hashempoor :
It is painfully clear that in the deafening roar of bombs and drones, the voice of words cannot be heard. But truly—in this so-called modern world—is it really so difficult to understand that no human being should be killed?
Does human life hold no value anymore?
End the war. No one has the right to endanger the life and dignity of another human being.
When will our beloved Middle East finally see peace?
They speak of walking on the Moon and Mars, of racing toward progress in energy and environmental innovation—yet the basic tenets of humanity still seem so far away.
Just look at this past year—right here, in our region—how many lives have been lost?
We are all in mourning. But mourning alone is not enough. We must act.

"Middle East Peace Is Lost for Art and Artists"
I wrote: "Throughout history, artists have always stood against war. But they know that when the owl of war lands, nothing can emerge—not from a canvas, not from a sculpture.
Artists, too, are asking: Why has war not yet been archived into the past?
So many of humanity's harmful habits have expired in the light of knowledge and awareness—yet the inhumane tradition of war and killing one another stubbornly persists."
And today, once again:
Tehran is not well. Nor is Iran. Nor is the Middle East.
We are breathing in war and death more than oxygen.
Stop the war.
At the very least—for the sake of the children—stop the wars.
