Noor Riyadh returns for fifth edition with more than 60 large-scale light works

Noor Riyadh is part of the Riyadh Art program, one of four megaprojects in the capital launched by King Salman under the Vision 2030 plan.

ArtDayME: The public art initiative Noor Riyadh will stage its fifth edition from November 20 to December 6, bringing more than 60 large-scale light installations to the Saudi capital.

First launched in March 2021, the festival has grown into one of the world’s largest platforms for light art, combining exhibitions with community programming such as workshops, talks, and performances.

This year’s edition aims to expand its curatorial scope while creating new encounters for residents and visitors.

The 2025 theme, “In the Blink of an Eye,” reflects Riyadh’s rapid transformation, contrasting the city’s historic core with futuristic infrastructure such as the newly launched metro system.

Noor Riyadh is part of the Riyadh Art program, which has so far showcased more than 550 artworks by over 500 Saudi and international artists and, through major programs such as Noor Riyadh, has attracted more than 9.6 million visitors.

Riyadh Art itself is one of four major cultural mega-projects launched in the capital under King Salman as part of the Vision 2030 plan.

Led by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, the initiative embeds art in public spaces as a way to drive cultural innovation, enhance the urban experience, and support economic diversification.
