ArtDayMe: Rashidi Gallery at the Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel in Tehran opened on the evening of Friday, October 24, to an extraordinary reception from art lovers and cultural figures. The four-hour opening ceremony—an event that honored the spirit of art and creativity—realized the founding vision of the late Mr. Mohammad Rashidi Torghi, the hotel’s founder, who originally conceived the idea of establishing a dedicated art gallery within the hotel.
The overwhelming turnout for the gallery’s inauguration caused heavy traffic on the surrounding streets leading to the Rashidieh Hotel, reflecting the remarkable public interest in this new cultural destination.
The gallery’s first exhibition showcases works by 24 artists. Organized in collaboration with Babak Haghi, the exhibition presents works by Mohammad Ehsai, Parvaneh Etemadi, Ghasem Hajizadeh, Bahram Dabiri, Iran Darroudi, Reza Mafi, Behjat Sadr, Hosseinali Zabihi, Manouchehr Niazi, Bahman Mohasses, Shahriar Ahmadi, and Nastaran Safaie in Hall One; and by Atena Rashidi, Satine Ghaffari, Banfsheh Ahmadzadeh, Razieh Iranpour, Fereydoun Amidi, Tania Pakzad, Amin Tavakkol, Babak Haghi, Mehrdad Khataei, Elham Fatemi, Kiarash Mosayebi, and Alireza Memariani in Hall Two.
The Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel stands as a masterpiece of Iranian art, architecture, and hospitality—a structure that revives the grandeur of Iran’s historic beauty within a contemporary framework. Inspired by classical Iranian–Islamic design, and particularly by the country’s exquisite traditions of tilework and stucco carving, the hotel offers a timeless vision of elegance at the heart of the capital.
From the moment one steps into its majestic lobby—with its elaborately painted ceilings, marble columns, and the soft glow of crystal chandeliers—the atmosphere evokes the splendor of a royal palace. The hotel’s rooms and suites, many overlooking the lush Delgosha and Delroba courtyards, blend tranquility with authenticity through décor inspired by traditional Iranian artistry. Every corner—from its grand restaurants to the corridors adorned with ornamental motifs—reflects a deep love for Iranian culture and heritage.
The Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel is not merely a place to stay; it is a journey through time—amid colors, patterns, and the fragrance of history—offering an unforgettable experience through the seamless union of Iranian aesthetics and modern luxury.
The inaugural exhibition of Rashidi Gallery will be open to artists and visitors from October 26 to November 6, daily (except Saturdays), from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Gran Miras Rashidieh Hotel, No. 35, Hamila (Fallahzadeh) Boulevard, Punak, Tehran.
