Ihab Ahmad’s “I Put My Brain on Pause!” opens at Firetti Contemporary

The exhibition introduces a fresh visual language in Ahmad’s oeuvre: radiant color palettes, spray paint gestures, and sculptural forms blur the boundaries between memory and imagination.

ArtDayME: Firetti Contemporary is currently hosting “I Put My Brain on Pause!”, a solo exhibition by Lebanese artist Ihab Ahmad, marking a striking departure from his earlier practice. The show opened on June 20 and presents a body of work driven by instinct rather than intellect, emotion rather than perfection.

The exhibition introduces a fresh visual language in Ahmad’s oeuvre: radiant color palettes, spray paint gestures, and sculptural forms blur the boundaries between memory and imagination. For the first time in his career, smiling faces emerge in his paintings — potent symbols of freedom, joy, and connection.

Among the standout features of the exhibition is a full-scale Lamborghini transformed into a living artwork, the result of a unique collaboration between the artist, Firetti Contemporary, and Lamborghini Dubai. The vehicle becomes an extension of the canvas — rebellious, dynamic, and visceral.

This show reveals Ihab Ahmad at his most liberated, playful, and experimental — a bold declaration of artistic freedom and emotional presence.

The exhibition is currently open to the public at Firetti Contemporary, Dubai.
