Commissioned by the Barjeel Art Foundation in Sharjah, the painting will be on public display at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah until the end of Ramadan and will later be transferred to the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.
The exhibition introduces contemporary art from the Barjeel Foundation, with a focus on the overarching theme of "Boundaries" as both a subject and a tool for meaningfully accessing a diverse array of art from the SWANA region.
The collection includes works by eL Seed, Ebtisam Abdulaziz and Nja Mahdaoui and other well-known artists.
Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi wrote: "Al Sharekh was an extraordinary man. Few people have had the impact that he did on my generation. He touched our lives and came into our homes without us ever meeting him."
