Javad Bakhtiari: I Take Pride in Seeing Iran’s Vesta Color Ranked Among the World’s Leading Paint Companies

Javad Bakhtiari: I live outside Iran, and I’m truly proud that we have the Vesta Color brand — a company that competes with the world’s most renowned names in paint production. Vesta is, first and foremost, an artistic institution before being a paint manufacturer.

ArtDayMe: Javad Bakhtiari, the acclaimed painter, said in a video interview following his visit to the Vesta Color factory: “Regarding Vesta, I believe that before being a company producing artists’ paint, it is a cultural and artistic institution. Culture and art are universal concepts, but to take tangible form, they require the necessary tools. In painting, for instance, color is essential — it enables the artist to express their ideas. Apart from talent, which is the key element, tools matter greatly; the quality of paint must inspire the artist and help create lasting works of art.”

The master painter and calligrapher, who has long divided his time between Iran and the United States, added: “Let me return to what I said earlier — Vesta is an artistic institution. Perhaps this relates to the root of its name, ‘Oosta’ [meaning ‘master’ in Persian]. It carries a cultural essence. When we speak of Vesta, we speak of a broad cultural identity that now also produces oil paints, watercolors, and gouache. I’m very pleased to have visited the Vesta Color complex today. It has successful managers, highly dedicated colleagues, and a very positive atmosphere.”

Master Bakhtiari further noted: “I live abroad, and I’m genuinely happy that we have a brand [in paint production] that competes with the world’s leading names. I have visited major companies around the globe, examining their products and management methods. I take great pride in the fact that Iran’s Vesta stands on par with the world’s top artistic production companies.”

The first Artists’ Tour of Vesta Color Factory was recently held in Baharestan Industrial Town, Karaj.
